Compassion Care Center

The mission of the COMPASSION CARE CENTER it to try to serve people within Mosinee School District who do not have health care insurance or do not have the ability to pay for health care services. The COMPASSION CARE CENTER will be staffed by doctors, nurses, and other service providers from the major medical providers in our area.

The COMPASSION CARE CENTER is staffed 100% by volunteer staff. More volunteers are needed and people are encouraged to fill in the online Volunteer Form Here or contact ML Verkest at 693-7145 during the office hours of Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

The COMPASSION CARE CENTER has a Resource Referral Director and staff that will meet with clients to help direct them to the best means of care for their current situation. The director will help lead people through the maze of the health care system and also provide useful information on family support, nutrition, health and fitness services. There are some medical transport services available, but reservations must be made in advance.

The hours of operation of the COMPASSION CARE CENTER will be Tuesdays from 12:00 pm (noon) to 2:00 pm and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. No appointments are necessary as clients will be seen on a first come first served basis. Registration for medical intake will be the first hour of operation. Clients must register between 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Tuesdays and 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursdays. Requirements for service are proof of identification (valid photo id) and proof of residence within the Mosinee School District. A map of the service area can be seen Here.

Currently there is no prescription service available onsite but generic non-narcotic prescriptions may be given to be filled at an area pharmacy. The COMPASSION CARE CENTER does not maintain prescriptions drugs on the premises.
